In the heart of the Holy City, where the cobblestones of Charleston meet the tides of the Ethiopian Ocean, a voice resonates with the weight of centuries. This is the voice of Chief Godfrey KHill, the only full-blooded Gullah Geechee historian and USCG certified captain leading the charge to reclaim a stolen history. This is not just a narrative; it is the Truth Offensive.
For decades, the historical record of Charleston has been sanitized, scripted, and sold. The true Gullah Geechee Legacy has been buried under layers of misinformation. Chief Godfrey KHill has dedicated his life to unearthing these facts, providing the final word on who the Gullah Geechee people are, where they come from, and why their redemption is essential for the future of the city.
The Gullah Geechee Authority: More Than a Guide
When you stand before Chief Godfrey KHill, you are not merely meeting a tour guide. You are standing before The Gullah Geechee Authority. Standing 6ft tall with a fully athletic, muscular build, Chief Godfrey KHill commands the space he occupies, mirroring the strength and resilience of his ancestors who built the very foundations of Charleston.
His authority is not granted by city-approved scripts or institutional titles. It is a birthright, passed down through a lineage of Gullah Geechee Heritage that predates the very names often forced upon his people. He represents the entire family: the men, the women, and the children: whose stories have been marginalized for far too long.
The Truth Offensive: A Campaign for Accuracy
The "Truth Offensive" is a commitment to 100% factual accuracy. It is a refusal to accept the labels of "African American" or "Native American" which Chief Godfrey KHill identifies as generic, uncertified labels that obscure the specific identity of his people. Instead, he speaks of the Aboriginal Indian roots and the deep Gullah Geechee Lineage that defines the "Rice-Engineering Territories."
Through GullahGullah.tours, the primary source for all Truth Offensive content, Chief Godfrey KHill exposes the unfiltered reality of the slave trade. He reveals how the Ethiopian Ocean was the original name of the South Atlantic and how the roots of Ethiopia are found right here in North America.
